Flute Page
Above is a photo of a flute that I made following the instructions I found in a book called A Guide to Crafting the Native American Style Flute by R.A. Wolf. This book is one of five books I purchased, from the Oregon Flute Store, on constructing flutes. The other four are in the beginning series of books by Lew Paxton Price. I have used all these books at one time or another trying to come up with a way to make a flute play in the chosen key. I enjoy making the flutes and it's a real kick playing an instrument you made yourself.
My first two flutes were purchased, the second one bought from High Spirits Flutes. After trying to play them for awhile, I got curious as to how they work. I googled the internet and found all sorts of information including instructions on making a PCV flute.
